Lake Simtustus

A destination RV resort & marina located at Lake Simtustus in central Oregon. The property features an RV park with 77 full hook-up spaces and breathtaking panoramic canyon or lake views from every RV site. Lake Simtustus boasts over 300 sunny days a year. With average summer temperatures in the 80’s, this is an excellent choice for a recreation location. The only private property with lake access on the 640 acre, 8-mile long lake, surrounded by two hillside canyons. Here you can enjoy fishing, water sports, waterfall and trail networks for locations.  

Permits must be issued by Portland General Electric, and for fishing use and some destinations across the water by the Warm Springs Reservation.

Sparks Lake (late Fall)

Beautiful alpine lake, off the Cascade Lakes Highway, approximately 30 minutes from Bend. 

Multiple islands within the vast lake (250 acres), only accessible by kayak or canoe.  Mt. Bachelor visible in the distance.

Multiple parking areas, in addition to campground (closed in Winter, but could be opened by special permit).

Cascade Lakes Highway entry is closed during Winter months due to large snowfall.  Area accessible by snow mobile.

Permits authorized by Deschutes National Forest in the Summer, and Oregon Dept. of Transportation in the Winter.

Please allow 30 days for permits.

 

Gravel roads. They can be a bit bumpy.

Clear Lake

Clear Lake is a mountain lake near Sisters, Oregon, in Linn County. It has two main bodies connected by a bottleneck. The lake is primarily fed by snow runoff from nearby Mount Washington and the surrounding areas which is what makes it so clear.  
There are rustic cabins on site for accommodation, and a small restaurant and retail shop.  There is a good amount of parking although accessibility may be an issue as the road leading down to the lake is a little steep. The road goes in a one way loop up to the main highway. 
There are covered sheds on site for public use that could be reserved for a film crew.
Fees payable to the National Forest and Resort are applicable and need to be actioned at least 30 days in advance.
Excellent location for recreation and fishing shoot or branded content.

Twin Lakes and Resort (LaPine)

Twin Lakes Resort is located in the Cascade Lakes Region of Central Oregon. Located on the shores of South Twin Lake, there is an RV park close by on the banks of the Deschutes Channel of Wickiup Reservoir. Twin Lakes Resort is an excellent location for fishing and family fun, and would be great for branded content shoots. It is open year round with a  full service restaurant, java hut, and charming country store.   There is also a private dining area for hire.

There are cabins for rent on site, and lakeside.

Location fee required payable to the Resort.

Cove Palisades State Park and Lake Billy Chinook

The Cove Palisades State Park is a state park in eastern Jefferson County,  near Culver and Madras  and is administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.   Roads wind around Lake Billy Chinook which is a great alternative to Horseshoe Bend in Lake Powell.  Towering canyons serve as a backdrop to any shoot.
 
The park showcases winding roads for car commercials, long distance running and recreational activities.

Parking available in pull outs and larger areas.
