Beautiful alpine lake, off the Cascade Lakes Highway, approximately 30 minutes from Bend. 

Multiple islands within the vast lake (250 acres), only accessible by kayak or canoe.  Mt. Bachelor visible in the distance.

Multiple parking areas, in addition to campground (closed in Winter, but could be opened by special permit).

Cascade Lakes Highway entry is closed during Winter months due to large snowfall.  Area accessible by snow mobile.

Permits authorized by Deschutes National Forest in the Summer, and Oregon Dept. of Transportation in the Winter.

Please allow 30 days for permits.

Gravel roads. They can be a bit bumpy.

Exteriors of Main Street, Downtown Redmond (6th Street).  Includes street art (crane, horse head sculpture) and seats.  Beautiful arch over the road.  Storefronts include bank, bookshop, tattoo and saloon.

Parking available on side streets and nearby.

Local children’s park in Redmond with multiple play areas and rock climbing structures. Easily accessible with plenty of parking and multiple fields. Restroom on site.

Sam Johnson Park

Charming viewpoint on the McKenzie river trail.  Highlight is a bridge that is engulfed by Fall colors in October. Easily accessible to the road (Hwy 126).

Stunning year round, but particularly so in the Fall.

Limited parking.  Best shoot would be a small photo crew.  There are pull outs on the highway, but the parking immediately by the bridge is limited to approximately four spots.
