Chimney Rock Trailhead is located on Highway 27, in Prineville in the Lower Crooked River area, across from the Chimney Rock Camping site. The trailhead has recently been updated from a dirt area to gravel.
It’s located approximately 50 minutes from downtown Bend and 20 minutes from downtown Prineville.
The area is a stunning mix of jagged cliffs and rock formations and winding roads along the Lower Crooked River.
